About 30 minutes south of where we stayed at Hungry Mother State park there was a town that had been hit by a tornado (the same tornado that went through Alabama!) the week before. I took some pictures (although I felt very awkward as we were driving through their main street), but they really don't do the damage justice. I had never actually seen tornado damage first hand, and it was just devastating. It's really hard to believe all of the towns across the United States that have been ravaged by tornadoes this year.
