Labor Day in Augusta

Over the weekend the girls and I headed down to Augusta to visit my parents.  (Stephen came down on Sunday after staying home to paint Hannah's new "big girl" room!  Yay!)  The highlight of the trip was pancakes made by Grandma (along with "red squiggly things" - better known as bacon) and a boat ride down the Augusta Canal!  We had a great time with my parents!

Chef in training!

Her stirring was getting a little out of control...

Snowman pancake with spaghetti arms

Bunny pancake that looks a little like a Gremlin

This way to the boat tour!

Getting ready to board the boat!

Luckily they provided umbrellas for us....not for the rain, but for the sun and heat!

The smokestack that remains from where a Confederate powder works once stood

 The beautiful Augusta Canal :)

Mom and I got our pictures taken after the boat ride....the girls were a little hot by this time!

Stamps of Love

Last week Ashlyn started yelling for me from downstairs saying, "Mom!  Hannah is putting stickers all over her shirt!"  I walked downstairs to let her know that it's ok to put stickers on your shirt.....and then I realized.  Those stickers Hannah had gotten into were not stickers at all....they were stamps!  Hannah was very upset that she had done something wrong (how is a kid to know the difference between stamps and stickers?!).  I had to get a couple of pictures, though.  Oh, and I did try to salvage the stamps....they aren't cheap!

I do love her!

She has a sad face on because she was upset that she had done something wrong....
