Kindergarten, here we come!

So Ashlyn has officially started Kindergarten!  Her first day was Tuesday and she had an excellent week.  She walked into school by herself and didn't even turn around to wave to us!  She's very excited about being a Kindergartner and I can't believe my baby is big enough to be in "big school".  She's going to have an exciting year with Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Drummond.  I've also posted the pictures of Hannah's first day of 3 year old Preschool.  She loves it!  She has the same teacher that Ashlyn had and we love Mrs. Sherri.  It's going to be a great year!

All ready to go!

Last minute hugs with Mom and Dad

Now it's Hannah's turn!  She had to wear her sun glasses because, "it's going to be sunny outside!"

She finally took her sunglasses off - but only for the picture!

Good Morning Baltimore!

For those of you who don't understand the title of my post, watch the first 5 minutes of "Hairspray" and you will get it!  Last weekend Stephen and I went on a weekend getaway with our friends, Nick and Laura to......Baltimore!  Many have asked, "Why Baltimore?"  Well, why not?  Any city on the water has to be fun.  We took in an Orioles game, ate at MANY delicious restaurants (the theme for my weekend was French Toast and Steamed Crabs....not necessarily together) and walked all over creation!  I even got to see my sister-in-law's sister, Ashley and her family.  It had been about 5 years since we had seen them, and I got to meet their sweet baby boy, Joey.  Here are the pictures from our weekend!

The Blue Moon Cafe - where I had the most delicious French Toast coated with crushed up Captain Crunch!

I think this was an old sewage plant, but I still thought the building was pretty :)

He is a true sailor!

Beautiful view of Baltimore's inner harbor from Federal Hill

Enjoying steamed crabs at Nick's Fish house!

Ashley and Mike's adorable son, Joey!

On to Camden Yards to take in a baseball game!

I found out that the catcher for the Orioles went to Georgia Tech, so I had to take a picture!  Wieters got a new fan!

Saturday morning we headed to Miss Shirley's Cafe for breakfast

....and I had another delicious plate of French Toast!  This time stuff with strawberry cream cheese! :)

After breakfast we headed to Fort McHenry - the fort from the War of 1812 where Francis Scott Key wrote "The Star Spangled Banner"

While we were at the fort they pulled out a replica of the flag that Francis Scott Key saw while writing the Star Spangled Banner - it was huge!

This was the view from our hotel room :)

The Camden Station Warehouse was HUGE!  They say that when it was being used it could hold over 1,100 railroad cars full of freight!
