Christmas Day!

Here are just a few pictures from Christmas morning in Sanford. The girls had a great Christmas!

Hannah and her "blue umbrella".....the only thing she asked for from Santa.

Christmas Eve

This is just a picture that Camp took of the girls on Christmas Eve and I thought it was too cute to pass up. :)

Meadow Lights

On our first day of Christmas vacation up in Sanford, NC we decided to take a drive to see a light display that was about an hour away. Ruth and Rebecca went with me and the girls and we had a great time! Before we saw the lights we went inside their General Store that sold all kinds of old fashioned candy. The girls both got two dollars each and got to choose what they wanted. After that we went on the train ride to see the lights and the girls LOVED it! All in all it was definitely worth the hour long drive so we could see the excitement on the girls faces.

Here comes the train!

Hannah was so excited, it was hard to get a picture of her sitting still!

The Christmas Elephant

So when Ashlyn was asked what animal she wanted to be for our church Christmas Pageant she promptly said, "An Elephant!". The choir director was very accommodating and said that it would be fine, so I had my mom help me make an elephant costume out of felt. She did a great job! Ashlyn sang like a champ and was the best Christmas Elephant I have ever seen. :)

Hannah's First Haircut

Right before Christmas we decided that Hannah needed to get a haircut.....her first "official" one! She was perfect in the chair and didn't move a bit. She still talks about Mrs. Debra and her haircut. :)

Waiting patiently with a book until it was her turn

Christmas Picture Time!

Trying to get a good picture of Hannah and Ashlyn together is nearly impossible! These girls do not want to sit still long enough to say cheese, and when one cooperates the other doesn't! Anyway, here are a few attempts at our Christmas photo card. Maybe you'll see one show up in your mailbox. :)

Thanksgiving in Augusta

For Thanksgiving we headed down to Augusta and spent a very relaxing long weekend with my parents. We (well, Mom) cooked way too much food, but it was delicious! Hannah and Ashlyn even enjoyed my Dad's famous French Onion soup.....a Bowers tradition!

A smaller crowd than normal, but a happy one!

Pumpkin Time!

Last weekend we headed to a "pumpkin patch" at a local church and had a great time searching for the perfect pumpkin. Stephen did not come with us, but our friends, Leah and Dylan did! The girls had a great time and Hannah found her favorite place right when we were trying to leave....the pile of hay!

Trying to get a picture of the girls together...

This one was a little better....

Who? Me? Pick a pumpkin?

How about this one?

Finally a picture of Mommy! Hannah was supposed to be in the picture, too, but she spotted the hay and there was no stopping her!

Who knew hay (straw) could be so much fun?
