Midway Fall Festival

A few weekends ago Ashlyn's elementary school had its fall festival.  The girls had a great time playing games, riding horses, getting their hair and nails painted, and eating pizza!  It was a bit chaotic (imagine 500 elementary kids with their parents.....)  Here are some pictures from the day!

To start off our day I volunteered to help out at the bean bag toss :)

We had a special guest appearance by Mary Toppins from YoGo's!  (Ashlyn was too scared to get near her)

The girls were riding the caboose of Thomas the Train.  Notice Stephen standing by to wave.

Let the nail painting begin!

The hair painting was one of the highlights of the day.  Luckily it washed out in time for them to sing in church the next morning!

And with that, our day was done!

Montreat!

So last weekend the girls and I headed up to Montreat, NC with my mom to join Covenant Presbyterian in their Family Retreat.  We had such a great time, and the leaves were just starting to turn for the fall.  Here are a few pictures from the weekend!

Hannah LOVED the rock hopping!

I'm not sure what she was doing here :)

Tech/State Game

Last weekend we headed up to Raleigh to watch the Yellow Jackets take on the Wolfpack.  I had these cute outfits made for the girls, so it was a true family rivalry!  Hannah and I proved to be the victors, although neither girl really cared too much for the game.  Hannah was too busy trying to see where Buzz was, and Ashlyn had her eyes pealed for Mr & Mrs Wuf.  At least they both chose the appropriate mascot to be interested in!
